The Central East MHTTC in collaboration with the National Center for School Mental Health is pleased to offer a 2-part school mental health webinar series with a focus on advancing high quality, sustainable school mental health from a multi-tiered system of support, trauma-sensitive, culturally responsive, and equitable lens, called School Mental Health Virtual Learning Series.
Part I of the webinar series features panelists Sophia Arredondo, MA, a.t. Furaya, MA, and Bixby Marino-Kibbee, LCSW.
Participants will be able to:
- Describe systemic and environmental variables that contribute to mental health disparities among LGBTQ+ youth.
- Identify anti-discrimination policies and inclusive practices that can be implemented in schools and other youth-serving settings.
- Explore strategies to develop safe, welcoming, and LGBTQ*-affirming environments for youth.
