About The Event
This webinar provides frontline behavioral health staff with evidence-based, trauma-informed strategies for managing acute behavioral crises for adults with serious mental illness (SMI) and children with severe emotional disturbance (SED). Participants will explore how to recognize early warning signs of escalating behavior, apply developmentally and clinically appropriate de-escalation techniques, and create individualized safety and crisis response plans. The training emphasizes collaborative, person-centered approaches to coordinating multidisciplinary interventions that promote safety, stability, and recovery for adults and children with mental health needs.
