Join March's FREE Safety Planning Workshop!
What is a Safety Plan? Safety Planning is an evidence-based practice and can be utilized in many different settings.
The Safety Planning Intervention is a brief clinical intervention that may be used with people who have made a suicidal attempt or engaged in other types of suicidal behavior, reported suicidal ideantion, have psychiatric disorders that increase suicide risk, or who are otherwise determined to be at risk for suicide.
Workshop participants will:
Be able to understand and explain the rationale of safety planning for suicide prevention
Recognize when someone would benefit from safety planning
Apply learned knowledge to provide psychoeducation and brief safety planning interventions with people at risk.
Utilize VA Safety Plan phone and other technology to assist people at risk with safety planning.
Will I receive CEU's? Yes, 1.5 hours of CEU's are provided for NDBSWE, NDBON, NDBCE, and NDBACE.
