About The Event

Supporting farmers and ranchers’ mental health needs requires an understanding of the values, stressors, and culture that shape agricultural life. This webinar equips behavioral health professionals with the knowledge and skills to provide effective, respectful, and relevant care to agricultural populations experiencing Serious Mental Illness (SMI). Participants will explore how rural culture, work demands, and community dynamics influence mental health and how to adapt communication styles, identify culturally specific risk factors, and design recovery-oriented interventions to support farmers and ranchers.
